ELECTION CAMPAIGN BY SALONI KHULE

Good morning everyone! Like every year, Lagos has welcomed the rainy season and ILS is ready to welcome its new student council and I, Saloni Khule, am requesting you to vote for me as your Head Girl.

It is rightly said that crisis gives birth to opportunities. The BIGGER the crisis, BIGGER the opportunities! Yes, Covid-19 has taken away our sports week but it has also given us a chance to conduct our school events in a new way. This year, we could conduct online competitions and events such as an online music competition, stand up comedy contest or talk shows. 

In fact, there are numerous benefits of these online events. Firstly, there are many of you who are not able to participate in events at school due to time constraints and limited number of entries. Online events would allow you to show everyone your talent since there will not be any restrictions on the number of entries. Secondly, this will be a good opportunity for those of you who have stage fright. Since you will not have to perform live, you will not have to worry about messing up on stage. You can sit in your room and record ten, twenty, forty , hundred, as many times as you want and then send in the video of your best performance. 

Yes, all these events need a lot of planning and you need a leader who is capable of executing them. I believe I am that leader because I have gained a lot of experience as the Cauvery house prefect and as your Vice Head Girl. Also, I have been a part of almost all school activities, which is why I know how events are planned and organised. So, stay safe and please vote for me, Saloni Khule as your Head Girl.
